I have an attractive print of a Parisian scene on my bedroom wall which I have just identified as being the work of this Czech artist, who lived from 1877 to 1942; and I have been surprised to discover at the same time a wonderfully gifted printmaker who seems to be virtually unknown (at least here in England). Here are some prints of Paris, and I will later add some figure studies and scenes from Prague. Unpretentious but technically assured and utterly enchanting. I think these are coloured aquatints rather than lithographs.
